Danwood enlists former G4S man
Douglas Greenwell comes on board following £5m investment programme at print VAR
Danwood has appointed former G4S director Douglas Greenwell as its new group strategy and marketing director, as part of its £5m investment programme.
Greenwell will take on a directorship at Danwood and work with the sales team as well as lead the professional services business unit at the UK's biggest print reseller.
Greenwell said: "The print industry is changing and Danwood has already developed a compelling proposition for leading the market in this change.
"I look forward to bringing my experience of customer-focused strategy development to the team helping Danwood become more widely recognised as a market-leading brand," he added.
The appointment comes as part of a new £5m investment programme, which according to a statement released by Danwood will put customers at the heart of the company's "redefined strategy".
Earlier this year, Danwood set aside £5.6m to cover the costs of "contract remediation" as it recovered from a couple of tough financial years.
Steve Francis, Danwood's chief executive, said: "With a proven track record of driving strategic change and growth, we're thrilled to welcome Douglas to the company. His appointment will help us continue to deliver a distinct change in the document solutions market."
