Trustmarque among VARs picked for Scottish IT deal

Twenty-one suppliers rock up on £10m framework

A handful of channel firms has made it onto a Scottish NHS IT framework expected to be worth £10m.

The NHS National Services Scotland (NSS) framework is available for all public health bodies in the country and will require suppliers to provide them with a range of IT services.

The deal will be split into four lots: General IT and Specialist Services; Management Information Development support; IT Integration Specialists; and Application and Web-Development specialists.

Services player Sopra and defence specialist Lockheed Martin popped up on all four lots, but a handful of channel firms showed their faces on others.

Atos IT Services won a place on lots one and four, with Capita and Trustmarque securing positions on the first lot.

The other successful suppliers are: Capgemini, Charteris, Deloitte, Indra Sistemas, Sitekit, Wipro, Ascribe, Civic Computing. Farrpoint, IRW Systems, NCC Group, NVT Computing, Quicksilva, Restart Consulting, Storm ID and Tata Consultancy Services.

Trustmarque – which was recently saved from administration by fellow IT supplier Liberata – said the NSS win is great news for it.

"This framework is significant as it represents the continuation of the long-standing partnership between Trustmarque and NHS Scotland," said Mark Garrity, Trustmarque's head of UK public sector. "Since 2012 we have managed the NHS software and services framework and delivered a number of service programmes into individual boards.

"This new contract will enable Trustmarque to extend our reach and help support all the NHS boards with specialist IT services that are designed to drive down costs, improve efficiencies and to manage the delivery of complex IT projects and programmes."
