Danwood snaps up former Samsung man as new sales boss

James Dalziel replaces retiring Adam Hackett at helm of VAR's sales operation

Danwood has today announced the appointment of James Dalziel to the position of chief sales officer.

Dalziel will replace Adam Hackett, who will be retiring in March 2015 from the print services company. Previously Dalziel was at Samsung where he led a sales and distribution group responsible for all B2B product groups across Europe.

Dalziel (pictured) said: "This is an exciting time for the print industry and for Danwood. I look forward to taking on this role, guiding the sales force and implementing the new customer-focused strategies and vision for the group."

News of the appointment comes just after Danwood appointed former G4S man Douglas Greenwell as its new group strategy and marketing director.

Danwood's chief executive Steve Francis said: "Growth is the key theme as we enter an exciting new financial year and the timing couldn't be better to welcome James into the Danwood team. I would also like to use this opportunity to thank Adam for his untiring work during his time with the company."

Danwood set aside £5.6m earlier this year to cover the costs of "contract remediation" as it recovered from a couple of turbulent years.
