Datashare Solutions founder to step down
John Eady is handing over the reins at the end of this month after firm was acquired by Shift F7 in 2012
John Eady is to leave Datashare Solutions at the end of the month after overseeing his firm’s acquisition by Shift F7 Group.
His role will be filled by Shift F7’s current managing director, Nigel Lomas.
Eady was the founding director of the backup services provider, which recently relocated its datacentre to a new, purpose-built site in Chessington.
His final day in the role will be 31 October. The firm, founded in 2000, was bought out by Shift F7 in 2012.
Garry King, chief executive of the Shift F7 Group, praised Eady’s achievements over the years.
“As a founding director of Datashare Solutions, John has been a key figure and instrumental in the growth and reputation of the company,” he said. “He has worked hard to ensure that the acquisition by the Shift F7 Group has been a success, both for the employees of Datashare Solutions and their customers”.
Lomas added: “Having worked closely with John and the team at Datashare since the acquisition, I am looking forward to getting more actively involved in the day-to-day running of the company.”
