ANS claims top spot in FlexPod accreditation

VAR secures three new FlexPod deals to push its total number to 116

ANS Group claims it is now the most highly accredited FlexPod partner after a trio of contracts have pushed its number of FlexPod deals to 116.

Paul Sweeney, chief executive of ANS said: "I did an exercise last week using the Cisco and NetApp partner locator to see who was the most highly decorated FlexPod partner in the UK was and it was us, which is a testament to the all the hard work we have put into our partnership with Cisco and NetApp."

FlexPod is a converged system offering which combines NetApp's storage with Cisco's networking into a single system. In June Cisco and NetApp's FlexPod product revenues surpassed $3bn (£1.77bn), with the pair claiming to have more than 4,100 customers in over 100 countries.

Sweeney said that ANS has been seeing "huge demand for the technology stack across all sectors both public and private".

In recent weeks ANS has extended its FlexPod base, securing deals with a local council, a housing association and an NHS hospital.

In 2012 Cisco and NetApp launched a joint partner programme to certify resellers focused on the vendors' FlexPod infrastructure.

The news of ANS's new FlexPod deals comes after it was chosen as one of 26 worldwide partners in the Cisco Intercloud Partner programme.
