Olive Communications harvests growth
Comms provider boosts headcount from 45 to 150 over two years
Fast-growing comms provider Olive Communications has announced it has tripled its headcount over the past two years.
The firm, founded in 2003 and headquartered in High Wycombe, has boosted its staff count from 45 to 150 over the past two years and has opened its second office in Hatfield earlier this year to accommodate this growth.
Olive has recently been ranked as one of the fastest-growing tech firms, shooting up 42 places in The Sunday Times' Tech Track 100 to 49th.
Martin Flick (pictured), Olive's chief executive, claimed this growth has allowed Olive to "start to build a market lead".
Olive, which is partnered with the likes of O2 and Vodafone, has seen its revenues increase from £11m in 2013 to £17m in 2014, and Flick expects this "growth trend to continue at a significant rate".
Flick attributed the growth to two factors; organic growth and strategic acquisitions – this year Olive has acquired Direct Communications Limited and Wish Holdings plc.
Flick also said he felt Olive's size meant it holds a unique space in the market.
"We are large enough to play in the same space as the larger private equity-backed companies but small enough to be agile and entrepreneurial, and because we are privately owned we can make investment decisions quickly – that makes us pretty unique," he said.
