NTT Com Security makes second acquisition of 2014
Mainland European acquisition spree continues with purchase of InfoTrust AG
NTT Com Security claims it is the "new clear market leader" in Switzerland following its acquisition of local hero InfoTrust AG.
The purchase, which follows its acquisition in the spring of German outfit BDG GmbH & Co KG, thrusts its Swiss headcount to more than 50.
InfoTrust's two current directors, CEO Tom Hager and CTO Roman Ackle, will stay on at the firm in leadership positions, with the former becoming general manager of NTT Com Security's enlarged Swiss business.
"With this second acquisition in 2014 we are developing our growth strategy to become a leading global partner for national and international companies, which are increasingly becoming the target of attacks," said Heiner Luntz, chief financial officer at NTT Com Security.
NTT Com Security, which rebranded from Integralis last year, recently underwent a restructuring drive in the UK, which generated €82.6m (£64.5m) of the firm's total revenues of €226.9m last year.
Frank Brandenburg, senior vice president Central Europe at NTT Com Security, said the latest acquisition would mean it has the largest team of IT security consultants in Switzerland.
"InfoTrust also reinforces our position in established security areas and leading manufacturers in the region," Brandenburg added.
"In addition, our services organisation will expand further through the acquisition."
