Email security firm Mailprotector wants 50 UK VARs

US vendor lands in UK channel

US vendor Mailprotector has announced its arival in the UK market and is hoping to recruit 50 new channel partners.

The cloud-based email security firm, which was launched in 2002, is hoping to reach its partner-recruitment target by the end of 2015, which its sales director for EMEA, Scott Tyson, is confident can be done.

"Fundamentally the main target we are looking for is making this base of 50 partners and we think this is something that is very achievable," he said.

According to Tyson, what separates Mailprotector from its rivals is its sole focus on email security management and its partner programme that he claims helps partners support and sell the products.

Mailprotector, which has opened a UK office in Milton Keynes, offers partners deal registration on any opportunities over 250 users and MDF funds between one and three per cent, based on revenue.

The vendor has recently recruited EAC Network Solutions to its partner ranks in the UK.

Tyson said his firm is looking to recruit VARs who want a "greenfield opportunity, or resellers who have existing solutions but have a product or a price issue".
