Vision Solutions wants 100 new channel partners
Replication software company is hoping to capitalise on a shift in the channel towards cloud services
Vision Solutions is aiming to triple its partner base and take on 100 new partners over the next 12 months as it looks to capitalise on a shift in the market to cloud services.
Ian Masters, sales director for Northern Europe at Vision Solutions, said he felt more and more resellers are starting to become cloud brokers and he wanted Vision Solutions to "capitalise on this market shift".
Vision Solutions is a replication software vendor and has recently launched two products designed to increase its share in the disaster recovery market. The firm partners with the likes of IBM, VMware and Dell.
"I want to increase the breadth of service providers I am working with, who are delivering solutions around IBM's iSeries, and give them the option to either inherit those systems and protect them within their own datacentre or go out with a disaster recovery-as-a-service offering they can present to the customer," he said.
Vision Solutions is hoping to treble its number of partners within the year, Masters said.
He commented: "At the moment we have around 50 UK partners [MSPs and cloud based firms]; I want to triple our partner base in the next 12 months, and go out and give them training to help them deliver revenue quickly."
Masters also said there is a new opportunity for channel partners to provide services around a range of cloud providers.
"I think there is an opportunity for new channel players who are willing to embrace multiple platforms," he said. "There is a new channel that is opening itself up to us and we are out there looking for those partners."
Masters commented that there is currently a big shift in the channel with resellers becoming cloud brokers.
"They [resellers] don't want to run their own datacentres, but they see their opportunity around the cloud, so they can become the go-to specialists that customers talk to about how they should leverage cloud best for their business."
