Coms coughs up final Redstone instalment
Telephony firm completes final payment three weeks early
Cloud telephony outfit Coms has coughed up the final payment for Redstone's Communica arm – three weeks earlier than planned.
A year ago, London firm Coms agreed to buy Redstone's Communica unit, which focuses on infrastructure, datacentre and cabling, for £9.5m. At the time, the firm paid £7.65m in cash and agreed to pay a further £1.85m 12 months later.
Today the firm announced a final deferred payment of £825,000 was made on 31 October – three weeks ahead of the 21 November due date.
Coms bought the Communica business from Castleton Technology – formerly Redstone PLC – which now comprises two small software businesses.
