Deals of £8m for Cheshire services firm Adept4
Strong performance continues for IT and communications provider
Warrington-based services provider Adept4 has netted £8m in new business so far this year.
Key new contracts are three to seven years long and are expected to provide continued support for growth, according to Adept4 chief executive Peter Birkett.
"We're very pleased with the performance of the business," he said.
"Our people are key to our ongoing growth and the success of the business and we're continuing to invest in and develop our team to meet increased requirements. We look forward to finishing 2014 on a strong footing and delivering even better results next year."
Last year, the IBM, Cisco and Microsoft reseller turned over £4.45m but claimed it was positioning itself for expansion across three main locations: Daresbury Business Park, Warrington; London; and Aberdeen. Staff numbers have doubled to 50 across the UK in the 12 months.
Future expansion will hinge on further development of cloud services with technology from Microsoft and Cisco, with SharePoint and Lync to be pivotal over the next 12 months. Professional services delivery is also crucial, he indicated, as is expansion in the SMB space in Manchester and Liverpool.
"Key wins include a seven-figure deal to provide full IT and telephony services to north-west healthcare provider Baywater Healthcare, delivering 24-hour specialist support to the company's staff of 150 across 11 sites," he said.
The company also became an accredited "living wage" employer this year. This is through its participation in a scheme from the Employers Living Wage Foundation, which provides support to companies to pay the "living wage" as calculated by the Greater London Authority (for London) and Loughborough University (for the UK).
The London "living wage" thus calculated and announced by the foundation every November is currently £9.15 per hour; the all-of-UK rate is £7.85 per hour.
