Familiar channel face Monkhouse takes Novosco board role

Dominic Monkhouse set to become a non-executive director of the Belfast-headquartered firm

Channel veteran Dominic Monkhouse (pictured) has joined the board of Novosco, it has been announced today.

Monkhouse will become a non-executive director at the cloud computing and IT infrastructure services provider, which is headquartered in Belfast. Previously Monkhouse has held senior leadership roles at Rackspace, Pipex Hosting, and PEER 1 Hosting, among others.

Patrick McAliskey, managing director at Novosco, said: "Dominic has outstanding credentials and is a highly entrepreneurial business leader who has been at the forefront of hosting and cloud services in the UK since their beginnings.

"Dominic's knowledge, energy, contacts and vision will be a considerable asset to Novosco as we continue the growth of the business," he added.

Monkhouse said: "Novosco is a high-growth business that is on course to become a really significant player in the market. In September, Novosco made it on to Lot Two of the Technology Products framework which is set to go live next week.

For the 2013 calendar year, the company banked £1.9m in pre-tax profit on revenue that grew 36 per cent to £16.2m.
