Storage VAR NCE snaps up The Technology Practice
Wiltshire-based NCE looks to expand its presence across the UK
Storage reseller NCE Computer Group Europe has acquired Scottish hardware VAR The Technology Practice (TTP) as it looks to bolster its presence in the north of the UK.
Wiltshire-based NCE – which works with the likes of Dell, EMC, Hitachi Data Systems and IBM – claims the deal, which was finalised for an undisclosed sum, will boost its capabilities in networking, product and servers.
HP and Cisco partner TTP, which is based in Glasgow and was set up in 2002, provides new, used and refurbished kit to customers ranging in size.
TTP directors John Wilson and Jim Bain joined NCE as sales managers when the deal closed at the start of this month.
Wilson described the move to join NCE as "not a difficult decision to make".
NCE's managing director Andrew Genever said: "The TTP acquisition has further strengthened the NCE portfolio both from a service and technology perspective, increasing our capacity as we continue to grow our business. Of equal importance is the Scottish facility as it allows us to better serve our northern customers with a local presence."
