Computacenter UK boss Muller leaving after 20 years

Neil Muller calls time on two-decade stint at Computacenter

Computacenter's UK managing director Neil Muller is leaving the firm after 20 years, CRN can reveal.

In a statement to CRN, Muller (pictured) confirmed he is departing the services and resale giant for "pastures new" but did not disclose any details of his next move.

He will remain on board until the new year but told staff of his plans to leave last Friday.

"After 20 hugely enjoyable and successful years with Computacenter, the time has come to move on to pastures new," stated Muller, whom CRN recently interviewed as part of its Top VARs 2014 report.

"I'm very excited about the future and I would like to thank the team at Computacenter for their support and friendship over the years – it has been a great journey."

In its latest quarter, ending 31 September, Computacenter's UK revenues hiked by five per cent to £314m, compared with £299m in 2013, bringing the year-to-date growth to 11 pre cent. Both product and services sales rose by five per cent.

Computacenter chief executive Mike Norris paid tribute to his departing colleague.

"Neil has been a great employee for Computacenter for over 20 years, and a close personal friend for most of that time, obviously only one of these things will be coming to an end," Norris stated.

"Computacenter has a track record of developing talent through its ranks; while this kind of exit is always somewhat disappointing, it creates opportunities."
