Eureka for Scottish cloud solutions

East Kilbride-based VAR enjoys raft of new signings to cloud services

Scottish VAR Eureka Solutions is hailing the potential of cloud services, which have brought it a 300 per cent uptick in business over the past six months.

Aileen Primrose, commercial manager at East Kilbride-based Eureka, said the number of new contract wins is continuing to increase.

"We are seeing a rapid increase in the number of companies coming on board," she said. "A common factor among these enterprises is that, while they are acting on the needs of their businesses today, they are also thinking about future business needs and customer expectations."

Eureka offers cloud-based business management and administration offerings via partners such as NetSuite, Sage and QlikView. According to the firm, more companies are now making the move to cloud computing.

Primrose also hailed the potential for cloud to help IT providers compete better from all over the UK. Eureka Solutions, though headquartered in Scotland, is gaining "significant" amounts of business from companies in the south of England, particularly along the M4 technology corridor, she said.

Five staff have been added so far to help service the expansion, Primrose added.

Recent new customers include London-based financial services-focused IT firm Gresham Computing, planning software company HCSS Education, and M&A specialist Zaoui Capital. Charities such as the Challenge Network have also signed up with Eureka, as have regional firms such as Keltic Seafare, which operates in the Orkneys and on the Isle of Skye.

"The company's target is to match and exceed the number of contract wins within the next six months," Primrose added.
