Cloudreach launches crash course for cloud newbies
Intensive, two-week programme designed to get sceptical customers hooked on Amazon Web Services
Cloud consultancy Cloudreach has launched a two-week crash course aimed at firms making their first foray into Amazon Web Services (AWS).
Although AWS dominates a cloud infrastructure services market estimated to be worth $14.5bn annually, many mid- to large-sized customers remain wedded to traditional on-premise IT, AWS partner Cloudreach acknowledged.
Its Kickstarter Service, a two-week pre-packaged consultancy engagement, is aimed at businesses taking their first steps into cloud.
"We see a lot of organisations struggling to take their first steps into AWS as they lack the skills or are locked into the old way of IT," Cloudreach chief executive Pontus Noren (pictured) told CRN.
"This has been a big inhibitor to AWS. This is a two-week blitz to get your company started."
Cloudreach, which has offices in New York, London, Amsterdam, Paris and Munich, claims the Kickstarter Service is "based on reliable and repeatable methodology, encompassing everything from initial setup and training to ongoing technical support, and is packaged as a two week, fixed-priced engagement, making the move to the cloud an immediately tangible and transformative process".
According to analyst Synergy Research, AWS remained the runaway leader in a cloud infrastructure market now worth over $4bn a quarter and swelling by almost 50 per cent year on year.
