Computacenter's Muller off to Daisy in February
Matt Riley to become executive chairman
Computacenter's managing director Neil Muller is set to become chief executive of Daisy in the new year.
CRN exclusively revealed that Muller was planning to step down as Computacenter's managing director last month.
In a statement released this morning, Daisy said Muller would join as CEO in February and would concentrate on growing the firm's IT and managed services portfolio.
Daisy's current chief executive, Matt Riley - who led a £494m bid to take the firm private in October - will become executive chairman of the company he founded. The buyout bid was cleared earlier this week and the firm announced it could be delisted as soon as next month.
Riley said he and Muller will work together closely.
"We are delighted to be entering into a new stage of development and growth, following this week's announcement that the management buyout offer for Daisy has been declared unconditional in all respects.
"As executive chairman, I will work closely with Neil and the management team on the company's strategic development and growth, and am confident that Neil's industry knowledge and expertise will drive our strategy with great success."
Muller said: "The converging world of telecommunications and IT represents a host of exciting opportunities and Daisy is in a prime position to evolve and adapt its existing capabilities, addressing new market dynamics and mid-market customer needs."
