Exertis to manage global ERP vendor supply chain
Supply chain division chosen to oversee delivery of specialist vehicle systems
Exertis' Supply Chain Services arm is working for recycling and waste-focused ERP software and vehicle technology vendor AMCS Group.
According to a statement, the deal means that Exertis will now manage the software and systems vendor's expanding global supply chain.
Jimmy Martin, chief executive of AMCS, said its vehicle systems needed to be delivered on time, all the time; something which Exertis' global reach could handle as the vendor went on expanding.
"It will also enable us to remain focused on our core competencies: software products for the waste and recycling sector," Martin said.
The partnership with Exertis will streamline and optimise AMCS technology delivery across markets in Europe, North America, Australia, New Zealand and China. AMCS vehicle technology includes weighing, RFID and on-board computing and AMCS ERP software which targets waste and recycling operators looking to manage their municipal, commercial and industrial services.
Exertis will assume responsibility for the global delivery of all the vehicle technology systems, pre-assembled and ready for installation and was chosen for its experience in logistics and distribution.
