£200m Greater London PSN framework up for grabs

Up to eight suppliers sought for four-year deal

The government has fired the starting gun on a pan-London Public Sector Network (PSN) contract which could be worth up to £200m.

The Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea (RBKC) led the bidding for the Information Technology and Communications contract, which tenders for a range of technology including networks, telephony kit, data services and routers.

Between five and eight suppliers will be awarded a place on the contract.

The products and services will be used by public sector authorities across the capital to gain access and connectivity services over the PSN, according to a recent contract notice.

The PSN enables public bodies across the country to share services securely through shared infrastructure.

Although RBKC led the bid – which will be worth between £20m and £200m over a period of four years – public sector bodies across the capital including local authorities, NHS bodies, schools and the police will be offered access to it.
