Quiss Technology gets teeth into Bulldog deal
Microsoft partner wins deal to supply Lincolnshire-based hotel chain with new IT infrastructure
VAR Quiss Technology has secured a deal to install a new IT infrastructure at fast-growing hotel chain The Bulldog Hotel Group (BHG).
With more than 60 employees spread across seven hotel sites, BHG picked a Quiss-recommended hosted desktop system to make it easier for staff to communicate and help resolve intra-hotel issues, and replace its failing existing system, which was struggling to cope with demand.
Kevin Charity, director of BHG, said: "We’ve grown our portfolio of hotels in recent years and with 65 users across seven sites, the original IT infrastructure was unable to cope with the increasing demands placed upon it. We knew we needed to make improvements and good advice would need to form part of the solution.
“The decision to hire Quiss Technology was an easy one to make; they came highly recommended. We were aware of a number of clients they already have spread across Lincolnshire, with nothing but positive feedback about their service. We were confident that on meeting to discuss our requirements we would get the honest, practical advice we needed; they certainly didn’t disappoint.
“We not only wanted immediate improvements, but needed to future-proof our operation. Our new robust and reliable IT infrastructure will address not only the current issues impacting our business, but also allows for our expected future growth."
Matt Rhodes, commercial services manager at Quiss, said getting the right solution in place was crucial.
“When you are tasked with establishing a new IT infrastructure for a business like the Bulldog Hotel Group, it’s important to get a good understanding of the business and its aspirations; where it wants to go and how that can be achieved," he said. “The deployment of a hosted desktop solution allows all the users to log in from any computer in the office, home or even out on the road and access all their applications and data, to help improve productivity.
He added: "The ability to access the full Office 365 suite of applications via the virtual desktop infrastructure will ensure the business is future-proofed for upgrades and patches all in one go, rather than worrying about individual machines and accidentally introducing a whole range of compatibility issues. Further resilience has been delivered with an improved storage, backup and replication solution, managed by the hotel group."
