Liberata merges Trustmarque and Trinity

Trustmarque brand lives on as Trinity moniker binned

Liberata-owned resellers Trustmarque and Trinity have merged, with the former winning the battle to retain its brand name.

A customer notice posted to both the firms' websites this morning confirmed the news and said the move will "simplify the way [its] technology solutions are provided".

Both companies were snapped up by Liberata after facing financial issues – Trinity was swooped upon in October 2013 and almost a year later the business-processes firm snapped up Trustmarque after it found itself in financial trouble following changes to how it recognised revenues.

In October last year, Trustmarque's sales and marketing director Angleo Di Ventura dropped strong hints to CRN that a merger between fellow Liberata-owned Trinity could be on the cards, claiming a closer relationship between the two could create "a very strong proposition".

The newly merged entity was referred to as "the new Trustmarque" in the note to customers this morning, sounding the death knell for the Trinity brand, which will be swallowed up into Trustmarque.

Further details of the rationale behind the move and post-merger integration plans were not unveiled in the note, but Trustmarque's long-standing reputation in the market was hailed.

"Over 27 years, Trustmarque has built an enviable reputation in providing software solutions and IT technologies, through its expert understanding of licensing models, deployment strategies and ongoing management," the announcement said.

"The combined strength of the new organisation enables Trustmarque to provide over 2,000 organisations with an enhanced range of end-to-end technology services.

"Customers can now access a range of services from a single expert provider. Trustmarque's mission is to simplify IT, and empower organisations and their people to unlock the true potential of technology services."

The firm assured customers that it would be business as usual while the integration takes place.

"Rest assured, you will continue to experience the same high levels of service and support that you have come to expect, and from today, you now have access to so much more," it said.
