Softcat ready for 40 new hires before Easter

Thirteen roles currently advertised as VAR moves towards annual growth goal

Ever-expanding reseller Softcat expects another 40 or perhaps even 50 staff to join the company by the Easter break.

Colin Brown, managing director of Softcat, which has offices in London, Marlow, Bristol, Leeds, and Manchester, predicted continued expansion this winter, not least on the back of the firm's reputation as a good place to work.

"Great Place To Work ranked us as the UK's number-two workplace [in 2014]," Brown (pictured) said. "We have a current net promoter score of 67. With five UK offices, we've plenty of scope for recruiting throughout the year, and we hope to find at least 40 new candidates by Easter."

As reported by ChannelWeb, the company aims to recruit a total 200 more people by the end of this year, taking its full headcount to 900. The company has been doing especially well with its public sector business, and may open an office in Scotland.

There are currently 13 jobs on the reseller's vacancy page, including administration and operations, sales executives and assistants as well as analysis and technical roles.

Brown claimed the company goes to "extraordinary lengths" to look after staff, offering "world-class" training and good incentives such as perks and a rewards scheme.
