e92plus eyes £100m goal
Specialist distributor in aggressive growth mode as it looks to increase its vendor stable and bring new products to market
Specialist distributor e92plus is in investment mode as it looks to swell headcount and become a £100m company within the next two years.
The firm was recently appointed as the third distributor for Trend Micro, after fending off stiff competition from rivals, and managing director Mukesh Gupta is keen to do more of the same.
Speaking to CRN, Gupta said: "We have ambitions to become a £100m company in a couple of years and we have put the investment in place to do so. We are investing in more personnel and have recently appointed a new sales director, and we have 10 vacancies already.
"We are investing into making the company grow. Clearly that is what Trend is seeing. We are aiming to be aggressive and take products to market."
Gupta said the firm's main growth plans are in the UK, but wouldn't rule out other territories through acquisition if the opportunity arose.
"I feel there is so much to be done in the UK, that we don't need to specifically look abroad, but if the right opportunity for acquisiton should arise, we wouldn't rule it out," he said. Our core business is still security and that is where we will stay, although we do have other areas of business such as WiFi, and are looking for vendors and products that complement our portfolio."
Gupta said this may not just be tier-one vendors.
"We are keen to continue doing what we have always done and that is bringing new vendors to market," he said. "We are feeling very positive about the future."
