SecureData takes on Tim Cox as new CTO
Cox set to join SecureData from Alternative Networks
Security services firm SecureData has hired Tim Cox as its new chief technology officer.
Cox will be responsible for the firm's technology strategy and will be leading the development, pre-sales, professional services and infrastructure teams.
Cox said: "SecureData has a rich heritage and unrivalled reputation in the delivering of pioneering security services.
"I have kept track of the company's evolution and am delighted to be joining at what is an exciting phase in its development. I look forward to applying my knowledge of managed services to its existing base of expertise and further developing and expanding its business capability along with its products and services."
Cox joins SecureData from managed services provider ControlCircle, which was acquired by Alternative Networks last year, where he also held the position of CTO.
Etienne Greeff, SecureData's chief executive, said: "Tim has a proven pedigree in designing and developing managed services capabilities and delivering effective end-to-end solutions, so we are delighted to have added someone of his calibre to the ranks.
"We needed a CTO capable of executing a technology strategy in line with commercial objectives and Tim's experience in combining people, processes and technologies made him the ideal candidate for our growing business," he added.
Last month SecureData announced it had enjoyed a 20 per cent increase in revenue to £27.2m for its financial year ending 31 July 2014.
