Bumper year for Bechtle
Pan-European IT reseller breaks €2.5bn revenue mark in 2014
European IT reseller giant Bechtle says it grew sales 13.5 per cent last year as it gave a sneak peek of its 2014 figures.
The Germany-headquartered powerhouse said full-year revenues hit €2.58bn (£1.93bn), up from €2.27bn in 2013, with pre-tax profit (EBT) rising at an even faster rate of 20 per cent to €107m.
EBT margin rose from 3.9 to 4.2 per cent year on year, with growth driven by all reporting segments, Bechtle said.
Bechtle, which operates 65 independent "systems houses" in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, will unveil its full 2014 numbers on 13 March.
Founded in 1983 and headquartered in Neckarsulm, the firm sells the full range of IT, from inkjet printers to high-end servers to about 75,000 customers.
Outside the DACH region, Bechtle has an e-commerce presence in 11 other countries, giving it blanket coverage of western Europe outside the Nordics, including the UK and Ireland.
