NTT Com Security sniffing around UK targets

Rumours building that security integrator formerly known as Integralis is in advanced acquisition talks with a London-based VAR

Acquisitive security integrator NTT Com Security could be preparing to make a UK purchase, following acquisitions in Germany and Switzerland last year.

According to multiple sources, the NTT-owned outfit – formerly Integralis – has been sniffing around one London-based security VAR with revenues approaching £17m, with talks said to have progressed to an advanced stage in recent weeks.

NTT Com Security, part of Japanese telco NTT, has made no secret of its desire to continue on the acquisition path after snapping up Swiss security firm InfoTrust AG and German outfit BDG GmbH & Co KG last year.

When approached for a comment on the matter, NTT Com Security chief executive Simon Church said he was "unable to comment on specifics about any acquisitions".

"I have gone public on the fact that we will be acquiring but I can't go into any specifics on any particular acquisitions we will or will not be doing," he said.

Despite being based in Germany, the UK is NTT Com Security's largest territory, generating €82.6m (£61.3m) of its €226.9m annual sales in its last financial year.
