Cloudamour talks cloud at Downing Street
Reseller invited to chat with George Osborne after winning apprentice award
Cloud reseller Cloudamour talked up cloud technologies to chancellor George Osborne earlier this week after the firm's founder was invited to Downing Street to celebrate the company's apprentice success.
The Watford-based partner was invited by its Conservative MP Richard Harrington, along with three other local firms, to a reception at Number 11 Downing Street to meet Osborne after it won Microsoft's Apprentice Employer of the Year award.
About 20 per cent of the reseller's staff are apprentices.
Cloudamour's founder Mitchell Feldman (pictured) said Osborne was clued up on cloud.
"I mingled with all the notoriety, I had my picture taken with George Osborne and got to speak to him," he told CRN. "He knew all about the cloud and said I'm in a very disruptive space and he congratulated me on the great work I am doing."
On a LinkedIn post, he added: "He was the consummate professional and while he was not able to give us much air time, I genuinely felt he was proud of our success and was sincere in his praise. We did however manage to get a picture with him which will make my mum and dad happy!"
