Integrator appoints current COO Mark Rogers to top role

Pan-global integrator Logicalis has appointed company insider Mark Rogers as its new chief executive almost a year after predecessor Ian Cook relinquished the reins.

Having held the post of president and COO since 1 March 2014, Rogers will officially assume CEO duties on 1 March 2015, exactly 12 months after Cook stepped down.

Logicalis had originally lined up former Logica cheese Gary Bullard to take the top job, but Bullard's Linked In profile confirms never took up the post.

Cook has remained as executive chairman.

Datatec chief executive Jens Montanana said: "Mark has done an excellent job in his new role as president and COO and in running the company over the past year. I am very pleased that we can announce Mark's appointment as CEO effective 1 March."

Part of South African IT Group Datatec, Cisco and IBM partner Logicalis saw sales rise by 15 per cent to $1.55bn in its most recent financial year, ending last February.

It draws two thirds of its sales from the Americas, nine per cent from AsiaPac and 24 per cent from Europe. In the UK, it is a £200m business.

Rogers has been at Logicalis since 2003, holding a range of roles including finance director for the UK and CFO for Europe.
