Security vendor on Lookout for new partners
Vendor hoping for five new partners as it goes on EMEA channel push
Mobile security vendor Lookout is on the hunt for five new partners as it launches an EMEA channel push.
The San Francisco-headquartered vendor has also announced it has appointed channel veteran Jamie Andrews as its new EMEA partner director. Andrews joins Lookout from FireEye, where he was European channel director.
Andrews told CRN the firm is looking for the right fit for partners rather than signing up everyone in sight.
"Our aim is to find the right partners - we are not looking to go mass market but instead want five or so partners with which we can work together closely to build a unique partnership.
"We hope to find partners that are security or mobile focused; partners who are selling to those who understand the risks and challenges posed by mobile deployment and mobile workforces. From its inception, Lookout's culture and product has been geared around mobile first, and that's given us a unique approach and understanding of the market," he said.
Lookout said it "exclusively focuses on distribution via the channel", and is looking to create deep relationships with the partners it takes on.
"By bringing a cloud-based enterprise offering to market exclusively via the channel, Lookout has a unique and extremely compelling proposition in the EMEA market," Andrews said.
Lookout counts mobile operators such as AT&T, EE and Orange among its customers.
