RSA talks up channel as it pushes services play

Security vendor unveils new channel services programme as it cosies up to partners

RSA has pledged its commitment to the channel as it takes the wraps off a new programme designed to help partners push its services offering.

The security vendor's SecurWorld Delivery Services Programme is designed to enable RSA's channel to gain "trusted adviser" status among customers through implantation and installation of services and support.

Initially the firm's Identity Management and Governance (IMG) product will be available through the scheme, with its Security Analytics and Archer GRC [governance, risk and compliance] products to follow later this year.

RSA claims the latest channel offering proves its commitment to its indirect model.

"Channel partnerships have been instrumental on RSA's path to becoming a $1bn (£680m) organisation," said William Taylor, its vice president of worldwide channels and alliances.

"RSA is constantly inspecting its channel partner offerings, modifying what needs improvement, and introducing new programmes to drive more fruitful relationships."

In order to gain certification on the new programme, partners must undergo advanced technical training and mentoring with RSA and once complete, they gain official certification in specific products.

Taylor added: "The RSA SecurWorld Delivery Services Program is a tremendous step forward in RSA's channel organisation.

"Partners benefit by gaining access to the enablement and support needed to deliver a comprehensive portfolio of best-in-class installation and implementation services, while customers benefit with more flexibility to choose who they want to work with. In the end, exceptional customer service is what it is all about."
