Didata hopes Lockey will be key to sales success

Reseller unveils five new senior appointments as it looks to double sales by 2018

Dimension Data has unveiled a new five-strong line-up of senior execs which it hopes will help it double sales by 2018.

Its former sales director for consumer industries, Richard Lockey, has been promoted to UK and Ireland sales director and is charged with leading the firm's initiative to build long-term growth. By 2018, Didata hopes to have doubled its UK sales.

Former CSC man Mike Morrison has been lured in as its UK services director and will lead up its managed and professional services teams in the country.

Calvin Goom, managing director of Dimension Data UK, said: "Richard and Mike's combined skills add huge credibility to our service offering. Their track records of partnering with clients to develop and deliver high-quality, flexible and transformative IT services make them great assets to our UK team."

The quintet of new appointments is completed by Rob Dunachie who is now the firm's solutions director; Christopher Lewis, who takes over the reins as marketing and alliances director; and Mark Petty, who has been crowned IT outsourcing sales director. The trio all held senior roles at NextiraOne, which Didata gobbled up in February last year.

"We've seen considerable growth in demand in the UK over recent years, as organisations ditch their traditional capex-based consumption models in favour of IT-as-a-service, which has the power to drive business change," Goom added.
