SCC dials into data telecoms space
Privately-held integrator giant adds datacentre services connectivity and capability to its portfolio following Fluidata investment
SCC is continuing its aggressive services growth plans by adding datacentre services connectivity and capability to its offering after acquiring a share in Fluidata.
The Birmingham-based behemoth has made a unnamed investment in data delivery network Fluidata, which specialises in high speed data connectivity for corporate, industry and public sectors.
According to SCC, its services turnover has rocketed 25 per cent to £165m at the close of its fiscal year, aided by its acquisition of SSE Telecoms’ Hampshire datacentre earlier this year, its second Tier 3+ datacentre.
James Rigby, Chief Executive of SCC, said: “Fluidata positions SCC at the forefront of Data Centre Services, adding further connectivity and flexibility to our customers.
“In addition, this investment provides SCC with access to the data telecoms market, widening SCC’s DCS proposition.”
Piers Daniell, Managing Director of Fluidata, added: “Aligning our business with SCC increases our overall service offering and expands our datacentre capability while making the most of our diverse connectivity offering.
“SCC’s pedigree, leading position and IT portfolio provides our customers with more choice and value. It’s a great match for everyone."
