NetApp appoints new UK boss
Former HP man Elliot Howard takes the top job
NetApp has appointed ex-HP man Elliot Howard as its UK and Ireland (UKI) country manager.
Howard most recently spent four years as UK managing director of Sopra Banking Software after a five-year stint at HP where he was its global client business manager.
In his new job at NetApp, he will be responsible for accelerating sales in the UKI region and boosting the "strategic value" the vendor offers its partners and customers. He will also oversee the development of NetApp's field operations, the vendor said.
Howard said NetApp's technology lured him in.
"I'm excited to join NetApp due to its unique data-management value proposition and company culture," he said. "Both assets make NetApp the company of choice for our customers to partner with and solve their data-management challenges."
Dave Allen, NetApp's general manager for northern EMEA, said: "Elliot's experience, focus and leadership style will help develop our business and drive growth in UKI. He brings tremendous insight from previous engagements managing global customer relationships, sales, and portfolio strategies, all of which are key in helping our partners and customers leverage their data assets and maximise their business value."
