Ex-Arrow exec to helm new VAD Distology
Haley Roberts joins newborn security specialist as managing director
Distology, a new kid on the block in the security distribution space, has appointed former Arrow executive Hayley Roberts as its managing director.
Roberts formally joined the newborn VAD on 1 April after 18 months as senior vice president at policy management vendor NETconsent, which will now become Distology's fifth vendor signing.
Roberts' arrival sees her hook up with Distology founder Divyesh Lakhani - the duo worked together at Lakhani's previous venture Codework, which sold to Altimate in 2010 before Altimate was in turn acquired by Arrow in 2012.
"There is a significant shortage of value-add in distribution and I am excited to be leading Distology into a market that will bring positive change," Roberts (pictured) said.
"New security technology has always been of interest to me and Distology will work extremely hard to impact growth and development of vendors via the channel."
While at Arrow, Roberts was a business sector manager.
NETconsent used the announcement to pledge its commitment to growing its channel.
"Distology are the obvious choice for NETconsent as we enter this new phase of growth within the channel," said NETconsent chief executive Dominic Saunders.
"Working with trusted colleagues such as Hayley Roberts, I am certain of continued achievement."
