HP anoints new PPS channel boss

Former New Zealand and South African exec Paul Boshoff to take UK channel reins this summer

HP has tapped up one of its top New Zealand executives to head up the UK channel for its new HP Inc organisation.

Paul Boshoff has been appointed as commercial channel sales director of HP's printing and personal systems group (PPS) for the UK and Ireland, a role he will start this summer.

This means he will lead the commercial channel team in the new HP Inc organisation when it is split off as a separate firm later this year.

Boshoff was most recently general manager for PPS at HP New Zealand and before that helmed HP's old PSG business in South Africa. He has also worked for Compaq and Dell.

Boshoff replaces Damian Cusick, who recently left HP.

Loay Lawrence, commercial director at HP Gold partner Vohkus, said he assumed Boshoff's appointment is part of HP's efforts to ensure partners enjoy consistency over the coming months.

"Our PPS business is going from strength to strength and I don't see it [the split] making any difference as they've put a lot of work into ensuring it is a smooth transition," he said.
