Fujitsu promises 750 new jobs for under-25s

Vendor also claims to be among first to launch degree-level apprenticeships

Fujitsu has highlighted its commitment to UK youth tech employment by promising to create 750 new opportunities for under-25s over the next five years.

The vendor also claims to be among the first to offer degree-level apprenticeships from September.

In a statement, Pawiter Rana, director of engineering at Fujitsu, said: "Fujitsu is committed to being the best high-technology employer of young people in the UK. As one of the UK's leading IT companies, we are proud of the many opportunities we have created for over 600 young people over the last four years."

Rana also claimed that Fujisu is one of the leading employers of apprentices.

"Through our award-winning apprenticeship scheme, our graduate programme and wider employment of under-25s we provide opportunities for talented young people. We are one of the highest-rated employers of apprentices in the UK. From September we will be among the first to offer degree-level apprenticeships," he said.

"Fujitsu is promising to create 750 new opportunities for those aged under 25 over the next five years. We believe it's our responsibility to contribute real opportunities for young people across the UK in places where they can make the most difference."

News that Fujitsu is planning to offer these apprenticeships comes after the vendor launched its Education Ambassadors Programme in February to bring the education sector and Fujitsu resellers closer together.
