Cloudreach claims AWS European first

Cloud consultancy bags Amazon Web Services MSP accreditation

Cloud consultancy Cloudreach has been named as the first European-headquartered firm to achieve Managed Services Partner (MSP) status with Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Having nearly doubled its headcount in its current financial year to 160, Cloudreach secured AWS MSP status after passing an independent audit of its managed services capabilities.

Cloudreach founder Pontus Noren told CRN: "We have invested in two offices in Edinburgh and Vancouver, so we are the only partner globally that does a follow-the-sun, 24/7 managed service for AWS specifically."

Noren (pictured) said his firm, which now has six offices across Europe and North America, does not believe in half measures when it comes to cloud migration.

"We talk to our clients about cloud transformation," he said.

"The old-school vendors - HP, IBM etc - very much use cloud as an additional capability. But we talk about using cloud as a way to transform the way you run, operate and provide IT services internally to stakeholders. It's about more than just migration; transformation also implies the transformation of internal staff, operational procedures and skills."

Cloudreach also recently bagged Gold partner status with Salesforce, which Noren said would enable his firm to take the CRM vendor's proposition to large enterprises for the first time. The London-based consultancy also partners with Google.
