CMS Distribution hails best year in history
Storage VAD's parent company, Storeit, sees revenues hike 30 per cent to £174m in 2014
CMS Distribution claims 2014 was the best year in its 27-year history as parent company Storeit registered a surge in sales and profits.
For its year ending 31 December 2014, Storeit saw pre-tax profits soar 43 per cent to £3.2m on revenues that powered up 30 per cent to £174m – a shade above internal expectations laid out last autumn.
Last year saw storage VAD CMS pause for breath as it integrated 2013 acquisition Interactive Ideas into its business and opened a logistics centre in Castleford.
More acquisitions are on the agenda as the firm chases a 2020 turnover target of £500m.
"This is a great result; the best ever in CMS's history," said CMS Distribution's chief executive Frank Salmon.
"The outlook for 2015 is positive. After a solid start in the first four months, the company's revenues and profits are in line with internal targets."
With 200 staff across four locations in the UK and Kiltmagh in Ireland, CMS partners with vendors including Commvault, Crucial, QNAP, Quantum, RedHat, SanDisk, Seagate, Solarwinds, Symantec, Toshiba and WD. It claims to service 3,500 resellers and retailers across the UK and Ireland.
