Antill bags new global CEO role
Industry veteran Darron Antill prepares to take up his third CEO-ship as he steps into top job at Cryptosoft
Former Vistorm and Intrinsic boss Darron Antill is set to step into his third chief exec position, this time at vendor Cryptosoft.
The firm specialises in policy-driven authentication and encryption services for connected Internet of Things (IoT) and M2M devices. Antill’s remit will be to drive its global business strategy with a focus on partnerships and strategic alliances.
Antill has held a number of high-profile jobs in the channel over the past 15 years, including sales director of VAR Ultima Business solutions, COO of security specialist Vistorm between 2003 and 2008, CEO of vendor Appsense, and a 10-month stint as CEO of VAR Intrinsic Technology between September 2013 and June 2014.
In the interim before landing the Cryptosoft role, Antill took up a non-exec director position with FMXA, and was a board adviser for Effectus Consultancy and Sipcom.
Speaking of his appointment, Antill said: “Cryptosoft is in a position to build trust in IoT through its policy-driven data encryption security platform, which works across any device and any operating system. The platform effectively provides a complete data protection, privacy and encryption solution to our IoT and M2M partners and their respective markets and customers.
“I’m delighted to join the Cryptosoft team and lead the company into the heart of the IoT revolution. Building a global software company that delivers data security in our ever-connected world is a tremendously exciting opportunity and I can’t wait to get started.”
Jon Penney, founder of Cryptosoft, added: “Darron’s industry experience and expertise will be invaluable in helping us scale, grow and expand our presence in domestic and new markets internationally. Darron’s channel and ecosystem partner knowledge will particularly help us as we evolve our go-to-market strategy.”
