Tech Data solutions centre lands at Heathrow

New facility promises to give resellers access to latest advanced enterprise technology

Tech Data has announced the opening of a new business solutions centre at its Heathrow HQ, giving resellers access to new tech through the distributor's enterprise arm, Azlan.

The facility promises to give resellers access to cloud, networking, converged infrastructure and mobility technology from a range of enterprise vendors, giving them the opportunity to learn about them and share them with their customers.

Azlan's service delivery manager Ian Mills said the centre "provides a vital resource" for its partners' learning and development.

"It enables both us and them to show exactly what can be achieved with the enriched array of enterprise technologies, solutions and services that they can now draw upon to make IT systems more efficient, dynamic, responsive and cost effective," he added.

Specialists from Azlan will be on hand to offer demonstrations and consultations, and products can be branded with partners' and end users' logos, the distributor added.

The facility, which contains eight APC Infrastruxure racks, is part of Azlan's business solutions centre (BSC) network, linking the Heathrow branch to similar resources in France, the Netherlands and Sweden.

Mills added that the centre should be seen as an extension to a partners' business, saying: "By exploiting this resource, our partners can shorten the sales cycle and increase their chances of winning opportunities; as well as expanding the breadth of the opportunity by giving them the ability to demonstrate complementary products and solutions."
