Dozens of VARs rock up on £200m IT framework

Softcat, Computacenter, ANS and SCC among the 85 firms awarded place on Technology Services framework

Eighty-five IT suppliers including Softcat, Computacenter, SCC and Insight have won a place on the £200m Technology Services Framework.

The framework was first unveiled last November and replaced the IT Managed Services vehicle which, following two one-year extensions to its initial 24-month term, was extended to February.

At the time the framework was first unveiled, the government said it will fall in line with its aims to open up procurement to smaller suppliers.

A total of 85 suppliers won a place on the deal, according to recently published documents, including familiar reseller faces such as ANS Group, Kelway and Misco (full list below).

The framework is split into 11 lots: Lot 1 – Help desk/Service desk; Lot 2 – Desktop Support; Lot 3 – Network Management; Lot 4 – Network and content security; Lot 5 – Infrastructure and Platform, Maintenance and Support; Lot 6 – Audit services and Asset management; Lot 7 – IT Infrastructure Transition Services and Delivery; Lot 8 – Service Integration/Service Integrator; Lot 9 – Disaster Recovery/ Business Continuity; Lot 10 – Back up and Data Services; and Lot 11 – Asset Disposal.

Softcat was awarded a place on all 11 lots. Its partner alliance manager Mark Brazington said winning a place on the framework was significant.

"This latest success represents several months of intense work from Softcat's bid team having written responses for 11 separate lots covering a wide range of technology services," he said.

"This recent award continues our 100 per cent success rate with CCS frameworks and perfectly complements the products and services we are currently supplying via the Corporate Software Solutions and Technology Products Frameworks."

Computacenter was also awarded a place on all 11 lots and said on a blog:

"This further cements our place on the strategic frameworks and enables us to offer a route to market through the Crown Commercial Service for a number of managed and contracted services as well as point solutions and projects."
