Capita makes workforce monitoring play with Isys buy

Capita continues in acquisition mode with move for Isys Group

Capita has snapped up workforce management software firm Isys Group as it looks to bolster its employee monitoring offering.

Isys focuses on HR systems, employee screening and time and attendance systems with its ID verification software. The Swindon-based firm has more than 500 customers in areas including online gaming and banking.

Sean Massey, managing director of Capita's software and technology business, said the deal – for an undisclosed amount – will allow Capita to expand its services offering.

"The acquisition is a great strategic fit with Capita's existing markets and portfolio of solutions and services," he said.

"It will enhance our capabilities and create new opportunities to deliver services to our clients, such as automatically feeding information about employee attendance and hours directly into their payroll systems."

News of the acquisition follows last month's announcement that Capita also gobbled up HP and Aruba partner Pervasive Networks.

Michael Post, operations director and partner at Isys, said: "In Capita, we will be part of a respected and reputable company with a strong private and public sector customer base.

"This opportunity provides us with the ability to increase in scale and to continue to grow new capabilities and develop innovative solutions for our clients."
