Indian outsourcing giant bags three-year digital transformation deal with Lawn Tennis Association
The Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) has called on Indian outsourcing giant Wipro to help it increase participation in the sport.
Under a three-year deal, Wipro Digital, Wipro's digital business unit, has been appointed as the LTA's official digital technology services partner for three years.
The LTA represents the interests of over 500,000 British tennis members playing on moer than 23,000 courts, as well as running 11,500 tournaments including Wimbledon.
Part of Wipro's remit is to help the LTA in its bid to increase participation in tennis by developing an IT and digital roadmap.
LTA chief executive Michael Downey, said: "We are thrilled that Wipro is our partner to transform our ability to use digital methods to connect with players, coaches and the public.
"Their expertise in IT and digital solutions will allow all areas of British Tennis to better support our mission of getting more people playing tennis more often."
Rajan Kohli, global head of Wipro Digital, said "There is no doubt that our association with one of Tennis's foremost associations will be highly rewarding."
