Pure stages channel love-in as it expands partner offering

New accreditations and products added to FlashStack partner programme

Pure Storage has talked up its "unwavering" commitment to the channel as it unveils a flurry of changes to its FlashStack channel partner programme.

The FlashStack programme was launched in 2014 and provides partners with an all-flash infrastructure offering. It claims that since the launch, which it describes as an "evolutionary milestone" for the firm, it has added a glut of partners to the programme.

As of this week, the programme will now include two new product offerings: FlashStack for Microsoft SQL Server and FlashStack for Citrix ZenDesktop.

"These two new solutions will allow partners and customers to build out repeatable Microsoft SQL and Citrix XenDesktop deployments that provide predictable performance and optimal end-user experience at a lower total cost of ownership," said Pure's vice president of global channels and alliances Michael Sotnick.

On top of this, the FlashStack programme now includes a new accreditation: FlashStack Converged Infrastructure. This will allow partners to resell the FlashStack products regardless of their support capabilities, unlike the first accreditation which launched with the programme in December.

"This programme expansion enables Pure Storage partners to differentiate themselves in the market by providing workflow-centric solutions within a defined reference architecture," Sotnick added. "For customers, this means more flexible purchasing options, component choice and an availability of a wider range of services."

Sotnick took the opportunity to pledge the company's commitment to the channel.

"Pure Storage's commitment to disrupting the status quo in the datacentre with you, our partners, is unwavering and I look forward to hearing from you on these compelling FlashStack enhancements," he said.

"As you and our mutual customers have made clear to us, the world is aggressively moving to modern workflow-centric datacentres inclusive of in-house, private cloud and public cloud. Together we are winning the most demanding workloads of this era."
