Redcentric hails £3.5m G-Cloud win
Reseller to supply government health body in two-year deal
Redcentric has said a recent G-Cloud contract win with a government health authority is further endorsement of its credentials in the sector.
The reseller has won a £3.5m contract with the Health and Social Care Information Centre (HSCIC), a government body which provides information, data and IT systems for health and social care authorities.
The deal lasts for two years and will see Redcentric provide the HSCIC with a database-as-a-service (DBaaS) solution which forms part of a national infrastructure programme.
"DBaaS will power a repository for healthcare data in England, enabling a range of reporting and analysis to support the NHS in the delivery of healthcare services," said Redcentric. "Delivered by Redcentric's team of database experts, the managed service is a proven model for delivering high-availability cloud database environments and will support HSCIC's critical repository."
The offering was procured by the HSCIC through the G-Cloud framework.
Fraser Fisher, Redcentric's chief operating officer, said: "We are delighted to be able to announce the contract with the HSCIC. This latest win represents the continued endorsement of Redcentric's managed services and expertise within the healthcare sector."
