Imerja coins it in with Royal Mint deal
Bolton VAR strikes gold with new contract to improve the coin-maker's firewall infrastructure
Reseller Imerja is set to cash in on a deal it has struck with the Royal Mint.
The coin-maker, which is based in south Wales, selected the Bolton VAR - with whom it has worked in the past - to improve its critical firewall infrastructure.
Imerja devised and implemented what it claims is a "robust" solution based on Check Point kit, which will deliver cost savings and reduced overheads.
The Royal Mint employs 900 staff and produces 90 million coins a week, which equates to around five billion a year.
Ian Jackson, managing director at Imerja, said: "The Royal Mint is now using the same firewall solution as all Fortune 500 companies, and is strategically placed for growth in the deployment of IT infrastructure.
"We relish every opportunity to work with the Royal Mint's internal team - whether to discuss ideas, develop projects or implement solutions - and are looking forward to building on this partnership in years to come."
