SI Frontier Technology eyes £10m mark

HP and EMC partner set to hit 50 per cent year-on-year growth and expand northern presence

Cisco, HP and EMC partner Frontier Technology has set itself the goal of breaking the £10m turnover barrier within five years.

The London-based systems integrator hit sales of £2.25m for its last fiscal year ending 31 March and according to sales manager Jerry Mumford, is on course to grow 50 per cent this year and reach £10m turnover within five years.

As well as delivering managed services, Frontier also has a private cloud and Mumford said it was the reliability of this that has been critical to its recent growth.

"Where a lot of people are reselling other people's stuff, this is our own UK-owned, UK-managed, private cloud. We have been running it for 10 years now and we haven't lost a customer yet. We are acquiring customers because we get references from our customers," he said.

Among Frontier's customers are a number of law firms across the UK such as Simpson and Marwick.

Mumford also indicated that Frontier is in the market to set up a Manchester office, following recent growth in the north.

"My plan over the course of the next 18 months is that the north will grow, so we may look to buy a premise around Manchester," he said.

Mumford also said the firm is interested in potentially acquiring a telephone support organisation.

Following the recruitment of four new sales and technical staff in the past month, Frontier has a headcount of 16.
