Ebuyer sharpens B2B focus as it returns home to Sheffield
E-tailer returns to hometown on enterprise mission
E-tailer Ebuyer is preparing to beef up its B2B offering as it returns to its hometown of Sheffield.
The company first set up shop on Woodburn Road in Sheffield in 1999 but relocated to Howden, East Yorkshire, in 2006 as the business grew.
It is now returning to the city as it expands its B2B team.
The new office, which will be in Arena Court, will open in September and be home to a customer relation management system, which Ebuyer hopes will "bridge the gap" between digital and offline sales.
Stuart Carlisle, managing director of Ebuyer, said B2B growth will help the company continue to expand, and stressed the importance that it evolves with the market, and interacts with its business customers.
“We have seen the B2B sales sector of our operation grow rapidly over the last two years and opening this new office to generate and fulfil sales allows us to capitalise on a huge swathe of customers we simply could not access before," he said.
"I'm delighted to be able to expand the company when a number of other VARs are struggling in the market, and opening this office in Sheffield, where everything began, is particularly special."
The reseller claims that 34 per cent of the UK's B2B IT sales traffic visits Ebuyer.com at some stage during a purchasing journey.
Ebuyer’s head of sales Phil Bates added: "The investment in the new office will mean we are able to engage much more closely with our customers and recommend the best solution for them.
"This investment in the office and the expansion of staff will increase our ability to be the virtual IT procurement manager for the UK’s small and medium-sized businesses."
