HP unveils make-up of post-split boards

Boards set to feature 'the most global-minded and diverse members' from HP

HP today announced the boards of HP Enterprise and HP Inc, ahead of its forthcoming split on 1 November.

The new boards, which include members of HP's current board as well as new directors, are claimed to feature "the most global-minded and diverse members" from the company.

"In addition to their collective business acumen, the new board members have worked in more than a dozen countries around the world. They will provide strong leadership and invaluable insights into international operations, market opportunities and effective governance," a statement from HP said.

The HP Enterprise board will be headed up by former CEO of Alcatel-Lucent, Pat Russo, who came onto the HP board in 2011. HP's current CEO, Meg Whitman, will also serve on this board, as well as taking on the role of chief executive at this company.

The PC and printing business, HP Inc, is to have its board chaired by Whitman. Dion Weisler is set to run this company.
