Aspect nabs Avaya channel duo for partner drive

Aspect Software boosts channel team amid aggressive partner recruitment drive in Northern Europe

Call centre services vendor Aspect Software has poached two senior channel heads from rival Avaya to drive sales in Northern Europe.Aspect, which develops customer engagement technology for call centres, has appointed Majella Wilkins as its Northern Europe channel sales director, and Kate Tustin as Northern Europe channel sales manager.Speaking to CRN on their new appointments, Wilkins said: "What brought me over was the solutions that Aspect has to offer that I saw as market leading, and the chance to really get under the skin of true customer engagement using the technology people live their lives by."

Tustin added: "For me one of the key points was clarity of vision. Aspect knows what they are good at, and what we can deliver for our customers – providing top-class customer engagement. Also the ability to start building a channel rather than managing a diminishing channel was really important to me."

Both join Aspect to support its channel team amid an aggressive partner recruitment drive in the Northern Europe region, with particular focus on supporting firms that are ready to move to the cloud.

“We know that making the move to selling cloud-based solutions can be challenging, affecting everything from cashflow to payroll and commission schemes," Wilkins said.

“It is therefore critical that vendors like us can offer resellers the support they need to make the transition. This will be at the heart of our work at Aspect.”

Tustin added: “The recruitment drive will be both aggressive and strategic, as we target partners working within the mid-market and enterprise segments to transform the customer experience,” she said.
